MBA Application Essays
I have edited numerous essays for clients who have subsequently been accepted to such business schools as Wharton and Hastings. My editing process for MBA application essays allows for the easy exchange of ideas, working toward a polished final draft.
THE PROCESS:
1. I do a substantive edit, making suggestions for revisions and additions. A common mistake in MBA applications is to say that you are qualified without giving reasons. Details are important. Telling your story is the key—being honest and specific. My comments often point out places where you need to go more in depth. I send the document back to you.
2. You make changes and return it to me for a copyedit.
3. If I still see room for improvement, I will send it back to you again. Once you have made revisions, send it to me for a final proofread.
4. If more editing is needed, I offer services on an hourly basis. However, I have found three exchanges to be the norm.
